On Tuesday the Mapua Senior School went to Motueka High School and the Recreation Centre to compete in the following sports; Soccer, Netball, Rugby and Hockey here are some reports written by Year 8's

7-Aside

I’m so excited because we are on the bus going recreation centre for the 7-aside tournament. We are talking and laughing when the bus stops. All of us crowd around Miss Milligan while she tells us where to go.

We walked onto the court and start warming up. We practiced our passes and did some group activities. Next we looked at the draw and found out that we were playing Parklands on court 1.

The nerves were building up as we started to play. It was half time and Parklands were beating us. We are playing well but can’t get ahead. The final whistle blew and the score was 14-17 to them. We played two more games against Tapawera 1 and Tapawera 2. We won both of the games and are proud of what we have done and are ready to win again, but before we can do that we have to have lunch.

We are versing Motueka South and were very nervous. In the end they whipped us and we were exhausted. Our next game was against Tasman and we were sure we were going to lose.
Suprise, suprise, We lost by miles!
Feeling happy, although we had lost most of our games, we jumped on to the bus for the ride home.

Mot 7 aside Tourment

Today was the day for Mot 7 aside Tourment.We arived at Mot at 9.30.The people in our team were,Brayden,Tim,Harry,Hamish,Tever,Keegan,
Dane and I.The goals I scored were 8 goals.The sport I played was soccer.We won the Tourment Because we got the most goals in the competition.Dane gave us lucky charms.The last game was hard because we shot the ball and the goalie saved the ball.They were fun games.Then we went back to school.
