On Tuesday afternoon Mapua school held the annual Cross Country race.It was a scorching hot day with the sun burning bright as the kids aproched the starting lines with nerves high and energy levels busting the children all had a great run.Everyone had a great day and lots of fun and also a compeditave side after everyones race they all seemed pretty tired.

The first three placings for each group were:
Year 1 Girls Lauryn ; Lily; Grace.

Year 1 Boys Oscar ; Kurtis ; Robbi.

Year 2 Girls Rhea ; Emily ; Laura

Year 2 Boys James ; Alex ; Jonah.

Year 3 Girls Rosie ; Arena ; Hannah.

Year 3 Boys Samuel ; Patrick ; Fabian.

8/9 years Girls Kendra ; Ashleigh ; Kaisa.

8/9 years Boys Reuben ; Thomas ; Alex.

10/11 years Girls Amber ; Alice ; Josie.

10/11 years Boys Jordan ; Jonty ; Tim.

Year 12+ Girls Milly ; Lisa ; Poppy.

Year 12+ Boys Kyle ; Tim ; Adam.

1st Kiwi (Blue)
2nd Tui (Yellow)
3rd Kaka (Green)
4th Kea (Red)

 

It was a boiling hot day for the Mapua School Cross Country. The smaller kids ran first and the big seniors ran last. People were really puffed out when they finished. I cheered for the other people and imagined what it would be like when it was my turn. Finally it was our turn. I waited for Mr Jury to say 'ready, steady, go' and I raced off.
