Languages

The Year 7 & 8 students have been learning Spanish this year. They have learnt how to ask and answer a few important questions including ‘What is your name?’ ‘Where do you come from?’ ‘How are you feeling?’
They also went to the Motere Hills Cluster ‘Hola Day’ which was a fun day of Spanish singing, games, tests and lollies. They have also made Pinyatas and posters on all the Spanish specking countries. They learnt through the school languages program ‘oui’ (yes!). Whaea Aroha and Mr Jury went on a programme that helped them teach us Spanish. They learnt all kinds of games to teach us the numbers and activties to learn the questions. Everyone learnt something and everyone had fun. Room 5 also did a skit for assembly one time that had bullfighting numbers and lots more. Everyone had something to do or something to say.
