Prep stands for primary enterprise programme.
The children of Mapua School have a lot of fun spending time with the teachers and parents making things like:

Glass coasters from Kra z Koastas,
Acsessories from Acsessorize,
Food from Baking Buddies,
Drinks from Slurp & Burp,
Jewelery from B.J Jewels,
& Frames from Funky Frames.

But it's not just about making things. We also learn a lot about how a business runs and how to manage your money.

Last year our money we used to buy stuff from Prep was called Dosh ,this year another child from Mapua School has made a new style and called it Mapas.

The children make 5 Mapas each Wednesday for working their hardest.
If the children do not work as well as they are supposed to the C.E.O. will decide that their Mapas will get docked.

Market day is a lot of fun as you get to spend your Mapas and buy things that other enterprises have made.

Since PrEP has started, Room 5 and the rest of the senior school have been completing there $$$ booklets. These books consist of things like making your own radio ad’s, designing a new currency and looking at differnt advertising techniques. These photos were taken on market day. Altogether, there are 12 different groups. They are Cooking, Rock Creations, Warehouse, Bank, Jewellery, Accessories, Crafts, Advertising, Drinks, Moasics, Glass Placemats and Funky Frames. The currency this year is MAPPAS designed by Dane.
